I would say for that low of a price, you honestly cannot go wrong. Dying light 2 has at least a few months left until release if not longer. You can easily get your 4.5 dollars worth between now and then, and even then, the 2nd game looks different enough that the first one could still be very playable after release.Dying Light updated to "Enhanced Edition." It went out as a free update for all users, its not considered DLC. Whether you owned the game before the update or not, it automatically updates to the Enhanced Edition. The Enhanced Edition is Dying Light, Dying Light is the Enhanced Edition its the same thing. You don't need to buy it again.
I played the enhanced version with someone who had purchased the normal version. The only downside was that it wouldn't allow him to use the DLC weapons that I dropped him. You should buy Enhanced Edition for sure, if you want the best experience. It'll contain the most important DLC, which are The Following and Bozak Horde.
